Urgent Prayer

Hospital stay's -
This past week was a good week at work.  My students were eagerly awaiting my return so it seemed.  They had a subsitute for the past two weeks and they don't do too well with change.  They told me they liked one sub. but the other they didn't like.  It seems that young people are stressed when change comes upon them no matter the situation.  I bring that up because my students are in a Juvenile Detention Center because they have committed crimes and one would think they are used to change because they experience it everyday.  They have to move rooms quite often and there are student's in and out of the facility regularly.

This was the start of my week but on Thursday, the week changed for me and got stressful because my grandmother who just turned 84 on Christmas had to be admitted to the hospital for pneumonia.  The first thing I thought is, here we go again.  She has been in the hospital for the past three years during this time of year and I was upset with God about this.  I thought of God's Omnipotence meaning His unlimited power and was selfish because I didn't want to have to go to the hospital and I said, why don't you just make here well and let us not have to go to the hospital again.

Well as I think you know, God doesn't work that way meaning He is not going to stay okay Joey since you are mad I will give you what you want and hocus pocus your grandma is okay now.  What is God saying in these stressful moment's?  He is staying what He always says, "trust Me, put Me first, and pray because there is nothing too hard for Me."

The difficult part for me is that God has unlimited power because He is Omnipotent but He wants us to actively trust Him, make a conscious effort to put Him First, and get on our knee's and seek Him in the matter's that burden our hearts.  He basically is saying, we have a part in the process but it's stressfull because what we pray for may not happen but the opposite instead may happen.  We pray for healing when it comes to sickness and instead of a physical healing, the person may get worst and die.  I guess that is why the Bible says that His ways are higher than our ways.

Ultimately, God listen's to our prayer's but in the end, He knows what is best and will bring about His will even if it is the opposite of what we pray for.  He can do anything at anytime because He is All Powerful but He may do something different then we asked for therefore when we pray, we should pray in faith for a miracle but always end with, Your will be done Lord Jesus.

I say all this to ask for you to pray for my grandmother who has pneumonia, a low blood count which she has been given a blood transfusion for, a low heart pulse which has gotten better, and low kdney function.  These are the things that she is going through this hospital stay so please pray specifically for the Lord to move and bring healing to her body in these areas.  Also, pray for my grandmother's pastors mother inlaw Betty who is suffering from cancer in the same hospital that she is in.

Thank you for praying for these matter's and I give God all the glory in the name of the Lord Jesus for everything He is going to do because He has the Power and He is in control of everything.

Be Blessed,

Joey
