X-MAS, the next day edition

Merry Christmas
- I know it is December 26.  I am a day late in wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  I meant to send it yesterday on Christmas day but wasn't able to use my laptop which has my password to my blog.  I thought I would just use my roommate's desktop computer but I didn't realize that the password is not saved on that computer and I wasn't able to log on.  I figured it would be better to send it a day late then to not send it at all.

Now don't get alarmed with the title of this inspirational.  I am not taking Christ out of Christmas but am infact glorifying Him with it in the Greek Language.  The letter X in the greek language is the letter for Christ.  In the early church Christianity was spelled Xtianity and Christian the term for a follower of Christ was spelled Xian.  So the term X-MAS is not taking Christ out of Christmas but is proclaiming loud and clear that Christmas is all about Jesus in the greek language which happens to be the language of the New Testament.

The next time you see X-MAS don't be alarmed but rejoice because that X doesn't X Jesus out of Christmas but praises Him in the language of the New Testament.  X equals Christ Jesus who is the reason for the season whom the angel proclaimed in Luke Chapter one and two as being born of a virgin in the town of Bethlehem, the city of David a Savior is born.

So when you opened those presents, remember the greatest present given to you, me, and all people for all time, Christ the Lord.

Be Blessed,

Joey
